Residence Halls & Eastview Terrace


What you can pack

  • Alarm clock
  • Answering machine
  • Baskets (for toiletries and storage)
  • Bed sheets (single, extra-long)
  • Bedspread, blanket, and pillow
  • Bike
  • Computer, printer, and cables
  • Desk lamp
  • Fan (portable)
  • Games (cards, board games)
  • Laundry bag and detergent
  • Padlocks (desk, laptop, and bike)
  • Phone card
  • Room decorations*
  • Stereo system (CD player, radio, MP3 player, headphones, CDs, etc.)
  • Television
  • Toilet paper**
  • Towels
  • VCR or DVD player (with cables)

* Posters and photos must be hung from picture hooks (provided by Housing staff) or with plastic tack.
** Only Eastview Terrace residents will need to refill their own toilet paper.

* Smoking is prohibited in all residence halls, common areas, and dining facilities.


Bring these items on move-in day

  • Campus map/directions
  • Cart or dolly
  • Penn State id+ Card or other photo ID

What to do upon arriving on campus

  • Drive to unloading zone
  • Check-in
  • Unload vehicle
  • Move vehicle to long-term parking lot
  • Move into room
  • Meet your resident assistant (RA) and/or community assistant (CA)
  • Check activities schedule (see bulletin boards for complete listing)
